Why study groups are hard to schedule

Four people in the same class can have almost nothing else in common on their calendars. One works evenings, one has practice, one commutes, and one only checks the group chat at midnight. By the time everyone's replied, the exam is two days away. The group that meets early is the group that finds a time fast, not the one that's most organized.

How Commonhour works for a study group

  1. Pick the days you're considering before the exam or deadline, the hours you'd realistically meet, and how long the session should run.
  2. Drop one link in the class chat or group text. Nobody needs an account or an app.
  3. Everyone taps the times that work for them. It's built for phones, so there's no tiny grid to drag across.
  4. The ranked list shows the best time on top and who's missing from each option. Pick one and send a calendar invite to everyone who's free.

Study group scheduling questions

Do my classmates need to sign up?

No. They open the link and tap the times they're free. Only the organizer might want a free account, for things like saved contact groups and email updates when people respond.

How many people can respond?

Up to 12 without an account, which covers most study groups. If you're organizing a bigger review session, a free account removes the limit.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Paste your video call link in the location field and it shows on the plan for everyone to copy. Only street addresses get a map link.

Can we set up a weekly session?

Each plan is for one meeting. To find a regular weekly slot, add a few days from one week, see which time wins, and use that as your standing time. A signed-in organizer can save the group to re-invite everyone quickly next time.
